From The Spartenburg Herald, 17 July 1959- A Ben Zuckerman coat.
'Ben Zuckerman's fitted coat in black and white popcorn tweed.  Ben Zuckerman, known for his upper bracket suits and coats shows severely man tailored suits with easy fit and sparks them with fur 'gimmicks', his word for small stoles of mink, leopard or ermine. The suits are shown with mannish derbies or fedoras, usually in colours to match the suit.
Zuckerman also brings back the fitted Chesterfield coat in popcorn tweed, complete with black mink 'gimmick'.'

This is a outstanding Ben Zuckerman coat, in a heavy, rich emerald green velvet. It dates from the mid to late 1960's and would have likely had a matching dress.
The coat would have been worn for cocktails or to a party, as evidenced by the jewelled buttons. It is an unstructured shape that skims the body. Lovely!

From The Pittsburgh Press, 24 January 1965- Spring Suited for Everyone.
'Long jackets give belts the big approval. Longer jackets will be seen on spring suits. Ben Zuckerman also likes the low placed belt on his navigator blue twill suit with hammered gold buttons. $310'

This lovely Ben Zuckerman suit, dating from the 1950's is a study in perfection. The suit is made of tweed and has a black velvet collar and black buttons down the front. The jacket is single breasted and most interestingly is decorated at the rear with slashes. So lovely!
The suit was sold at Edward Hurwitch Hartford, which was a boutique that focused on high end clothing. It is no longer in operation.
